1. What got you into the world of gymnastics?
My mum was a coach at another club and needed some help. I then worked through my qualifications and eventually became club owner of FASH gym club.

*I started up FASH in 1994. It started as an internal after school club and then expanded

2. When did you start up FASH and what are its values?
*I started up FASH in 1994. It started as an internal after school club and then expanded to include the local community on a Saturday. We are an inclusive friendly club, that welcomes children of all abilities.
3. What is the best part of running a club?
*Seeing the progressions in skill as well as seeing our gymnasts grow into young coaches themselves.
4. What is your favourite piece of equipment and what is your favourite skill to teach?
*My favourite piece of equipment is the trampoline. My favourite move to teach is a back somersault.
5. What is there to look forward to this term at FASH?
*It’s a busy term. We will be testing for badges, we have 2 parent watch weeks and an end of term fun session.

*My mum competed nationally and so I followed her passion for gymnastics when I was young. Ballet then took over and I stopped gymnastics but by chance I saw an advert for FASH when I went to buy some more ballet shoes. I then got involved in coaching and passed my

I then got involved in coaching and passed my first qualification when I was 15 and have been coaching at FASH ever since.
2. What is your favourite move to teach in gymnastics/trampolining or to perform yourself?
*I love teaching on the floor. My favourite move is a cartwheel because the skill is technical and a lot of elements can form progressions.
3. What is the best part about coaching?
*Those moments when I hear ‘Emily I did it’. I’m passionate about making gymnastics accessible for all. FASH is a friendly club and I’m proud to be a part of.
4. What do you do in your spare time when you aren’t coaching?
I am always busy with my children. You’ve probably seen them in the preschool class.

* Since I was 13 years old! I originally wanted to be a physio and started my qualification’s at the club that I was a gymnast at and have coached ever since. I got involved in FASH through Denise’s mum.

*My favourite piece of equipment is the vault. I love how much power you can get from it. I love teaching handstands because it’s a core skill in gymnastics.
3. What is the best part about coaching?
*Seeing the children making progress and enjoying themselves.
4. What do you do in your spare time when you aren’t coaching?
*I play rugby and I am always busy with my children. You’ve probably seen them around the gym either taking part or helping the other gymnasts.

*7 years! I looked up local trampolining clubs in the area and contacted Denise. I’m so glad that I did and am now part of such a friendly club.

3. What is the best part about coaching?
*Being active and being in a job where I don’t sit down. Seeing the end result where a child obtains a skill is why I do what I do.
4. What do you do in your spare time when you aren’t coaching?
*Swimming is my hobby and I love travelling to new places. Most recently I’ve been lucky enough to travel to Australia, Fiji and New Zealand!
